Tiziana Proietti, PhD, Professor, University of Oklahoma, Norman, USA lecture on Rhythm and Movement in Architecture at the NAAD Neuroscience Applied to Architectural Design on 10th December 2020. Rhythm in architecture is usually investigated by analyzing or pondering the proportion alternated and repeated in the building. In this lecture Proietti connects the architectonic rhythm to humans’ perceptive aptitudes. She discusses the human ability to discern and discriminate rhythmic sequences in space according to perspective conditions and explores the effects on human behavior and movement.
